Introduction to the Basic Rules of Badminton


Badminton's serving rules: Before the badminton game, the two sides use the rules of picking sides to decide the serving side and the field area. The winner of the side will be given priority to serve or receive the serve, or play in one half of the court or another half of the field.

Badminton Rules: The Badminton Rules began in May 2006, and it was officially decided to implement the 5-point rules. The 21-point system implements a points-per-goal system, with 21 points per game won in all individual events, with a maximum of 30 points. Each badminton match is played in a best-of-three format, with the first to score 21 points winning the tournament.

Badminton singles rules: When the serving player scores 0 or even, both players serve or receive the ball in their respective right tee areas; When the serving side has an odd score, both players serve or receive the ball in their respective left tee areas.

Badminton court rules: The badminton court is 13.40 meters long, the doubles width is 6.10 meters, and the singles width is 5.18 meters. The badminton net is 6.10 meters long and 76 cm wide, made of high-quality dark natural or artificial fibers, the mesh size is between 15-20 mm, and the upper edge of the net should be sewn with a double layer of white cloth 75 wide. Standard nets should be yellowish brown or grass green.
